This website is a personal professional portfolio. It is informational. It presents academic and professional background, skills, projects, experience, certifications, research and contact details.

The website does not offer online contracting, payment, purchase, booking or the conclusion of a contract. The section “Areas I Can Contribute To” describes areas of competence. It is not a contractual offer, a quotation or a commitment to provide services.

Any future collaboration, engagement or service depends on separate contact and a separate agreement between the parties.

Reasonable care is taken to keep the information on the website correct and current. Content, dates, links, project status and availability can still change, become outdated or contain unintentional inaccuracies.

If you notice an error that affects you, you can write to the email address above. This notice does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Unless otherwise stated, original texts, structure and selection of content created by Miguel for this website are his intellectual property, without prejudice to rights that belong to other people or organisations.

The following remain subject to their own rights and licences:

  • projects and source-code repositories, according to the licence indicated in each repository or project page;
  • open-source libraries used on the website, according to their own licences;
  • the local typefaces Roboto, Poppins and Raleway, licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1;
  • the visual starting point of the site, based on the BootstrapMade MyResume template and its licence;
  • names, brands and logos belonging to their respective owners.

Miguel does not claim ownership of third-party trade marks, logos, publications or materials merely because they appear for identification or context.

Within the limits of applicable law, you may not:

  • remove authorship or copyright notices;

Their presence does not mean sponsorship, a standing partnership, employment at the present time, or approval of this website by those persons or organisations.

7. Cybersecurity projects

References to tests, intrusion detection, traffic analysis or security tools describe academic, laboratory, controlled or authorised contexts. They document training and project work.

Nothing on this website authorises testing, scanning or attacking systems that you do not own or do not have permission to assess. The content is not an instruction to carry out unlawful activity.

8. Healthcare-related project

The reference to a clinic appointment platform describes a technical project. This personal website:

  • does not provide healthcare;
  • does not take medical appointments;
  • does not collect clinical data;
  • does not give medical advice.

This notice does not describe the processing carried out on the clinic’s own external platform. That platform is operated separately and has its own terms and privacy information.

Reasonable efforts are made to keep the website available and to serve it over HTTPS. Interruptions, errors, incompatibility with particular devices or residual security risks can still occur. The website is provided as an informational portfolio.

Liability that cannot legally be excluded is not excluded. Beyond that, no guarantee is given that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or appropriate for a particular purpose other than presenting professional information.

This website is operated from Portugal and these notices are intended to be read under Portuguese law, without affecting mandatory rights that may apply to you because of your place of residence or other rules that cannot be waived.
